About porcelain
Porcelain slabs are made from fine clays and minerals fired at very high temperatures. The result is a dense, extremely tough surface that resists heat, scratches, stains and fading.
Porcelain comes in large, slim slabs, so it suits minimalist designs, waterfall ends and full-height backsplashes with fewer seams. Printed designs range from realistic marble and concrete to solid colours.

Porcelain questions
Yes. It’s very hard and heat resistant. Like all slim surfaces, edges need care against heavy impacts, which is why we recommend eased or mitered edges.
Yes. Porcelain is UV stable and handles Calgary’s freeze-thaw cycles well when installed correctly.
On most porcelain the pattern is on the surface, so we use mitered edges to keep the look continuous.
